Really cool story in the Guardian about a Banksy painting - "Gangsta Rat" - being sold by the hospital he stencilled it onto the side of. And they're not selling it for the office coffee'n'biscuits fund either - the proceeds from the auction will be used "to raise funds for its research into new treatments for eye disease".
According to the article, a couple of Banksy's have been painted over by local authorities in London - one in London and one in Hackney. What are the bets that they'll be uncovered like the hidden treasure of the Great Pyramid some time in the far future, say, 2017?
